Chelsea Gondek wins pageant

Chelsea Gondek, 12, a resident of Cleveland, TN won the citywide Sunburst USA Beauty Pageant, Saturday, Sept. 25th at Bradley Square Mall in Cleveland. In addition to the crown, she received a trophy, sash and paid entry fee for the state finals to be held near Nashville.
Chelsea moved to Cleveland, TN just seven weeks ago from Snellville, GA. She is a competition cheerleader and straight-A student at Ocoee Middle School. During her on-stage interview, Chelsea expressed great enthusiasm for her involvement in sports activities and her passion for her grandparents' summer camp, Camp Woodmont on Lookout Mountain. "I go to camp for eight weeks every summer where I make lifelong friendships and learn lifelong lessons," she says.
In July, Chelsea participated in the Georgia state finals for National American Miss and placed 4th runner-up. Miss Sunburst is Chelsea's first pageant title, and second pageant. The Sunburst State Finals will be held next May, 2005.
