Monday, July 19, 2010

The Bradley County Commission had a quick voting session Monday morning. Two items made up the agenda and several road changes and appointments made up the consent agenda.

Bent Ridge Cove and Silver Springs Trail in the Silver Springs Subdivision were accepted as county roads by the commission. Johnson School Road was renamed Johnston School Road and Stepp Lane was renamed Beth Stepp Lane.

Ed Elkins, Louie Alford, Julian Sullivan, Howard Thompson, Terry McGuire, Dana Burgner and John Tyler, Sr. were appointed to the Bradley County Fire Board.

On the regular agenda, the commission voted to approve a resolution to appoint Judicial Commissioners. The duties of weekend, after-hours, warrant writing will now be turned over the Justice Center.

Authorization to approve the transfer of athletic field lighting within the county also passed.

The Bradley County Commission will hold their next meeting on Monday, July 26th at 7 p.m. in the Commission Room of the Bradley County Courthouse.
