Letter to the Editor:

Is our country in a big mess or what? Debt ceiling, career politicians, healthcare amuck, immigration, border control, lost war on poverty, taxes, etc. Doom's Day doesn't seem too farfetched. What are citizens of such a country to do?

Democrat versus Republican for 144 years leaves a lot to be desired. Has this system outlived its effectiveness? These days, only people with access to high dollars get to join the elite politicians in Washington.

We don't have to settle for this. We need to revisit the idea of government of the people, by the people and for the people. We need Americans for America in Washington. We need people who want to uphold our constitution and preserve the founding ideals of our nation. We need to send ordinary citizen representatives to Washington for 1 or 2 terms only.
