Who Are God's People?

by June Griffin

Old books are wonderful. By old, I mean Old. Not 40 years old or even 50 years old, but preferably a hundred years old.  Why is this?  Well, for one thing, there was then a fear of telling a lie, since there was a general fear of God among printers and writers. And if that didn't suit the bill, there was a fear of lawsuit for perjury or libel or slander. Reputation meant something then. Known thieves and liars didn't fare well with the public. Sorry to say, now many thieves are held up as heroes or worshipped as "clever" or "smart." So much for Hollywood and its Craftsmen.

At any rate, a rare book, Eight Studies Of The Lord's Day, was brought to my attention. Published by the prestigious Houghton-Mifflin Company in 1884, and attributed to George Seaman Gray, this scholarly work is in reality one of the greatest vindications of Christianity and the Bible that has come to our attention in years. Of course, anyone with half a brain or education in our unvarnished American history knows many of these facts, but in light of the higher-learning crowd who tell the big lie over and over, it is good to hear the facts related once again in a formidable book.

Not only does the author bring to light the truths of the Lord's establishment of a Week - First Day, Second Day, Third Day - so on, he enters with other remarkable glories concerning the Resurrection of Christ Who honors His Resurrection from the dead by His Day, the First Day of the Week. Wonderfully proven to good and holy minds!

But hold on to your hats, Reader! The best is yet to come! The Decalogue - the Ten Commandments - is a Declaration that the Lord is your God!  It is occurred to this writer that the Decalogue has a Preamble - "I AM THE LORD THY GOD!" By the rearing or posting of this Decalogue, the Poster proclaims to a frowning or respectable world that one has taken the Creator of the World, the One Who with His Finger Imprinted these Immortal Commands at Sinai - The Inspirer by His Almighty Spirit of the Holy Bible - you or your family or your company or you State or your country - tell the world that "The Lord is Your God."  You have entered into a Covenant, a Testimony, Ten Words, which state emphatically that you are now under the Blessings or Curses of the Truth and Living God and are His People. He is not a dead god, nor one carved out of stone, or a figment of your imagination, rather He is the One Who created the world in six days, exactly as He stated, and He gave a Sacrifice of His Own Son Jesus as an Atonement to pay for your transgressions. Amen.

Please note: The States of Mississippi and Tennessee have officially declared Him to be their God. Just this last May, 2011, in a unanimous vote by the House of Representatives, HR 107, the State of Tennessee has declared this God to be their God! Ain't it wonderful to consider! Tremble, Earth!

Not only that but in the very beginning of our nation, in 1620, the Mayflower Compact declared that the purpose of the first colonies was "for the advancement of the Christian faith." Not only that but the entire history of embellishments in Court Houses and public buildings contains replicas of this Decalogue, establishing again and again that we have taken this God to be our Lord, that He lives ever and He raises up nations and puts down nations, accordingly to the Covenants of His Own People.

Now, beware and weep, you Judges and Lawyers who have been part of removing copies of this Decalogue from our public buildings where we have declared the Lord to be our God. Our Redeemer is strong; He is not dead; He visits with His Strong and Powerful Arm. It is written: 'TOUCH NOT THE LORD'S ANOINTED!!!' Vengeance is mine, thus saith the Lord. You have with unholy hands taken down the Covenant of the people and robbed treasuries to pay your jaded and vested interest lawyers and their fees through 42 USC 1988. These acts are not forgotten. If I were such a judge, I would be staying up nights to figure out ways to carry those Commandments back to their rightful places. Remember the Philistines whose uncomfortable diseases provoked them to carry the Ark back where it belonged. God remembers Alabama and Kentucky and Pennsylvania and Hamilton County, to name just a few. The hour of His Judgment is come. Revelation 14:6, 7, 8. Put the Decalogue back.
