I just read Joe Kirkpatrick's "Sex In The City" column in The People News Online, and it's clear that he just doesn't get it with regard to law enforcement.
He thinks that the whole "affair" is minor if you "just take the sex out of it."  That may be so, but in fact the sex is in it.
Here in Florida, where we have an accrediting system for certifying law enforcement officers, sex on duty is basis for immediate and permanent loss of certification and the offender may never work in law enforcement again.  Zero tolerance.  Zero.
Councilman Gobble had high standards for law enforcement officers?  Good for him!
Clearly, the community he served on the Council are better off for his having been there.
